What the hell was I thinking? A ping of an idea in my head which was more like a clanging chime of doom to be honest but an instant bout of word vomit followed and it there it was........arse!
Then, like a complete numpty! "You can win a TV by sponsoring me!" Who the flip said that? That would have been me again! Arrgghhh! How am I going to get this ridiculous scheme past Nicky? I know, ring fundraising at the hospice. They can do the selling to the 'really can't cope with him for much more wife'.............it'll be right!

So, what's going on?
14th July 2012. I'm going to ride my bike from the Olympic Park Velodrome in London to the Velodrome at the National Cycling Centre in Manchester, pretty much non stop. About 200 miles. I'm asking people to sponsor me for £1. Each £1 will get the sponsoring person a ticket to go into a prize draw to win a 19" TV. To be delivered the week before the Olympics begin. All the proceeds are going to St Ann's Hospice.
This may make a few quid for them or it might be a complete flop. I get to ride my bike so it can't all be bad.
I'll update this page as often as possible in case anybody is reading it. I'll keep a track of my training which I can then use as evidence that I've not been out enjoying myself on my bike again but working hard on my training. Sounds like a proper plan!
Training began tonight. 2 miles walking the dog, swearing at the laptop because I couldn't get Faceache and Tw-........Twitter to work.
